Lady of Leisure back in Singapore and reality....
Oh well, very happy as Jan was back last weekend. Had a jam-packed Sunday starting with Jan and Ian lunchie, then with Jan and girlies dinner. Considering how long i had not seen Jan, sure glad was able to spend a day with her.
Was back on Friday afternoon, but i was too tired to go anywhere. I just wanted to stay at home in my room. Missing V and KL house. Saturdays are our together day, sometimes doing laundry and sometimes we go pa-tor! hahaha...
I abit concerned about the elusive job offer that my ex-boss had promised me. I do not really know how i should actually approach this. Do not want to sound desperate or needy, but I have been thinking. If my reason for wanting to work with her is just pure childish or actually a rational decison. Sigh. Sick of needing a job that i want and not getting it.
Shall cross my fingers and pray real hard something comes up real soooooon. Not toooo sure how long more i can tahan. Not me, my bank account!!

My 2nd time out of Singapore Birthday!
(Look at all the clouds or FOG behind me!wheeeee....)
(High up to Genting)
(Jogoya at Starhill, Look at the deserts)
(Jogoya at Starhill 2, Look at all the fooood)
Am on a roll obviously with consecutive posts on my blog! (whom god knows who reads coz i hardly post anything on it)
Well, birthdays as I had mentioned on my msn nick should be a celebrations of people getting younger! However FACT is, as hairline wrinkles start forming around our eyes and our baggy eyebags start getting bigger than our own eyes, it ain't a celebration at all. But a start for all things maturing and getting wonky.
I just celebrated my birthday on the 23rd March, and i realised its the 2nd time i am having my birthday away from home!!! My first time was my 22nd birthday in Perth and now in KL. I shall not deem to reveal my age as it ain't the point now. Abit strange to have a quiet birthday this year with just my deardear ah chek V, and without the usual fanfare. Guess age caught up with me, i actually like it. Just me and him, celebrating that one day. I deem it as Addy's DAY, where I am queen in V's eyes (daily basis, i am his princess, kekekee).
This year birthday started early on the 22nd March evening, where V brought me to an expensive Jap ala-carte buffet dinner (Place called Jogoya). Nice swanky place for a per pax cost of RM78+++. All sorts of Jap stuff (raw food, seafood and sushi), Chinese food and Indian food. Meal itself was alright i though, i like the ambience. But it was the deserts that did it for me. Never saw such an array of deserts spread out in front of me. Endless servings of various cookies, cakes, ice cream, mousse cakes, tirumisu!!! woah...was so tempted to ask for TABAO! TRULY!!! yummmmy..so yumy forgot to take piccies for you all. My apologies. Got some piccies that i download from the net for your viewing on just what the restaurant offers!!!
Then next morning, got up. Surprise for the day was to go GENTING! Have not been there for ages, so quite refreshing to go. I have attached a few piccies taken by my trusted Nokia 7610. Never been so proud of it. Took such lovely and clear piccies.
We went to the outdoor themepark and did all the lovey dovey rides. Before you go off thinking i am a sucker from all those romantic flicks i watched, its not my fault. V can't take thrilling rides, which means i have to say goodbye to all thrill rides in future. Sob sob.... Basically the rides we took were 1) antique car (some rickety old monorail car), 2) paddle boat, 3) Ferris wheel, 4) Roundabout Horse (think the famous korean flick, Stairway to Heaven shot), 5) flying elephants (kids ride), 6) Pirates ride (total yawn, but V was startled!! hah), 7) Some half hanging flying seats that go round and round! (that was prob the MOST thrilling ride i managed to get V on!!!). So for RM35 per pax, we had 7 rides. Guess not bad lah, plus the weather was so shiok. Very cloudy and misty, almost seem like we were walking in the midst of clouds. Aww....><>
Thank goodness there was a huge downpour after all our rides. So we both adjourned to the casino. At the casino, GUESS what!!!! The police actually wanted to check my IC! geeeez....for the briefest moment, I was so happy i could have been jumping for joy. But of coz, composure composure. I showed my IC and back to reality i was send back.
All and all, was a nice and quiet birthday this year. Just when i thought i will be forgotten by my friends since me not in Singapore. Birthday smses were sent to me.
I want to sincerely thank each and everyone how thankful I am that you all bothered and remembered March 23. Muakz and hugzzz to all of u!
Some piccies on what i did on my bday!!
Addy's musings for 1st qtr of 2006...thats fast!
(Pic taken at the start of my holiday to KL in ah chek, V's WAJA)
(Me posing in front of my HP, fighting the zzz bug while V is driving)
Time flies.... WAIT my first post in ages, and for 2006.
Well, my time as lady of Leisure will soon be over. Had been spending almost 5 weeks in KL with my dear old ah chek, V. What a long holiday it had been, almost over. I will be back in good old Singapore on the 1st of April and it ain't a joke (in case some are wondering).
One could really get used to such decadent lifestyle. Sleep late, wake up at 1pm, lounge infront of TV whole day with Internet running in the background. Come 6.30pm, ah chek will be home to take me out to dinner, then we go walk walk at some shopping malls or pasar malam for pirated vcds! I like it! =)
Been almost 2mths since I quit that PLACE i used to frequent like second home. Missed the adrenalin of working and of coz socialising with people! Guess its a trade off between being with my ah chek or out there in the workplace slaving my ass off!
Life in KL, most friends asked me what do it do? If it is boring, being M'sia and all. Well I guess it differs from person to person and who you are with. I take this chance as time for me to relax my mind and also catch up on TV (since you all prob know how much i LOVE TV, especially mindless HK and Korean dramas).
Plus occasional shopping at the malls are therapeutic too. Who can resist retail therapy- the best therapy of all!!! Imagine going to all the HUGE shopping malls, flipping the price tag and knowing hey dividing it by 2 its so darn cheap. Almost too good to be true. Not to mention the cheap pasar malams. Strange as i understand that each little housing town, have their own network of pasar malam vendors that will pedal each day of the week at different parts of the town. Example: Monday at Woodlands St 82, Tuesday at Marsiling Drive, Wednesday at Admiratly MRT, etc. The vendors are obviously very mobile, and the offerings at such pasar malams are so much more than in Singapore. Food firstly is the MAIN and KEY draw for me. So much food to eat, cheap clothes at just 10 or 15 ringgit MAX, of coz the pirates are all here too with their sophisticated walkie talkies buzzing away in the background.
Movies are cheap too (7ringgit on Weds) except you have to get used to seeing Malay subtitles and the occasional silence during vulgurity and hardcore sex. However who needs movies when you can probably go to the pirate and get a pirated version of the same movie (but NO QC of coz!!!).
Food here need no introduction, think everyone knows that the selection here are endless. From the famous Ramly burger to my favourite food- Hor Fun. Almost everywhere especially the roadside stalls, the food are fantabulous. But one thing interesting is how fond people here love MSG!! I had a fish ball noodles soup the other day and realised that i was drinking MSG soup rather than fish ball soup. Geeez...detrimental to my health if i am staying here long term.
Think i have basically describe my life in KL for the past 5 weeks.
I have to go back to reality waiting for me in Singapore. My bro is being posted to HongKong to work, and I guess taking care of the family kind of rest on my shoulders. I dread to think of what I need to do....but hey thats just life before one HITS 30 in 3 friggin years time. Responsibilities and more responsibilities!!!
